Contents:

This seminar covers selected topics related to networks and distributed systems. Special attention will be given to topics related to self-organization and security and trust management aspects of distributed systems. Students are expected to give oral presentations and to participate in discussions.

Grading:

All participants have to present two research papers and they have to actively participate in discussions. In order to ensure a lively discussion, all participants have to hand in a written evaluation of every paper before it is being presented.

The grade will be determined based on the quality of the presentations (70%), the submitted evaluations of the research papers (20%) and active participation during the discussions (10%). Presentations should be planned for 25 minutes plus discussion.
